Asuta Roth is one of the three Great Demon Lords and a major antagonist in the Ultimate Exorcist Kiyoshi Manga.
Appearance[]
Roth is a humanoid demon with a black regal crown floating above his head of dark hair with light tips. He sports a fur-hooded cape, black pants held up by a light belt with a black star on it, a black sword and an ornate skull as a shoulder plate. Jack Joe notes that Roth has a human-like appearance.[1] His pupils are surrounded by 5 points that make them appear like stars.
Personality[]
Roth is very aggressive and confident, he appears to be very eager to engage in fights that pose a challenge to him. After sustaining damage from a series of attacks by Kiyoshi Harai, he smiled with blood dripping from his mouth and exclaimed that "This is getting fun".[2]
Roth describes himself as a "pretty devoted man". [3]
Relationships[]
Roth appears to be allied with Yuda, as he mentions that Yuda gave him information about the kind of fun Kiyoshi Harai would present for him in a fight and they appear to have coordinated his summoning to the human realm.[4]
Exorcist[]
- Kiyoshi Harai: After getting a taste of Kiyoshi's strenght, Roth becomes interested in Kiyoshi's potential and power. Because of that Roth is looking forward to seeing Kiyoshi again during The Black Parade.
Abilities[]
Roth has a powerful attack known as Titanomachy which is activated by his sword, bringing thunder and gigantic ball of black lightning, which was noted to have the power to destroy the city of Naraku.[5]
Equipment[]
- Sword: Roth is wielding a black sword with which he was able to easily deflect Kiyoshi's Artemis. He also seems to be able to fully control it when he is not touching it, as seen when he threw it at Kiyoshi and it flew back to him. [6] By loading his sword up he was also able to launch Titanomachy. [7]
- Cross Armor: Roth has Cross Armor equipped on his right arm. He was able to easily block Kiyoshi's Hecaton Cheires and punch through his Athena. [8]
