- Kiyoshi Harai: Yamada initially felt threatened by Kiyoshi when the latter said he was going to exorcise Yamada, but after a while, Yamada started questioning whether Kiyoshi if he was scared, calling his bluff. Kiyoshi suddenly opened up to Yamada, crying to him while sharing about his fears. Yamada in turn comforted Kiyoshi and encouraged him that Kiyoshi was a good exorcist and that he would be proud of Kiyoshi had he been his son. He also taught Kiyoshi to take deep breaths when scared, and later helped Kiyoshi to not give up on his dream as an exorcist who can protect people from any demon, even though he was a demon himself. Kiyoshi offered his gratitude in return, to the point that he protected Yamada from being ultimately destroyed by Demon Lord Meto.
